July 25, 2007 - Back done, sleeve started.  I haven't had a lot of time to devote to this little project, unfortunately. It's been stuck in this state for a few weeks...somehow I don't think it will be done in time for summer wear. If it blocks out big enough it still might work for next summer? And there's really no reason it couldn't work over a long-sleeved shirt in the cooler months. The back also took more than a full skein, but I managed to get my hands on a fourth skein in the same dyelot, so no more worries about running out! |

June 1, 2007 - The I couldn't find a lightweight sweater for Carrie to wear in cooler evenings over her summery clothes. So, I decided to knit one! This is Reid from Knitty. The yarn wasn't quite the right gauge, so (as always) I'm just re-working the math to make it work. (I can't quite recall the last time I knit a garment exactly as written in the pattern.)  The yarn is from my stash - I have no idea what it was originally intended for, and there are only three skeins. We'll see if that's enough! |
