Murphy O.
a.ka. Bailey, Destructo-Boy, Mr. Murphy, Murph-Dog
The Early Months...
We found Murphy at the shelter on March 1, 2003. He had been abandoned by the side of the road, rescued by a family who tried very hard to find his owners, then dropped off at a small shelter. Finally, he was moved to the shelter we found him in. It was love at first sight. Now I ask you, how could anyone abandon this sweet little pup?

For all of his hardships during the first six months of his life, from day one Murphy has been a wonderful dog. He still wasn't completely housetrained, and hadn't grown out of the puppy chewing phase, but he has been remarkably obedient and extraordinarily sweet.

As for what he is, all we know for sure is that he is definitely part lab. The other part(s)? Maybe beagle (he has a deep, booming bark that is completely at odds with his small-ish stature). Perhaps daschound (he's really got the face of a daschound)! He could very well be a Heinz 57, with a little of a lot of things. Whatever he is, he's definitely a character!
