I have worked at this company since I finished college. It’s strange to think that in a few weeks I’ll be handing in my badge. I’m sitting here staring at the massive number of toys, posters, books, plants and just plain stuff I have here, and feeling overwhelmed at the idea of packing it all up and going home.
I think I managed to write one line of code – not even code, just html – so far today. Pathetic. Yesterday’s positive outlook seems very far away today.
sarah, try to feel better. it isn’t always clear right away how something you feel lousy about could take a more positive turn. worry about today, hope for tomorrow.
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time of it. What I’ve noticed with people being laid off, it seems like in a few months they are glad it happened. At first they are freaking out, and then a few months later when something else falls into place they are so glad they were laid off. I hope this is exactly the case for you. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
