A little history: I’ve never liked my birthstone, blue zircon, because it’s this pale, weak turquoise that, well, I’ve never liked. But…
…we December babies now have a new birthstone! It’s this pretty light blue with a violet cast to it. How do I know this? Because my first birthday present of the day was a lovely necklace from Denis.
Of course, I then had a laundry crisis, because everything I could have worn to show off my new present needed to be washed. It’s amazing how fast things go through the wash, though, when you only put a few things in the washer, then dry them on volcano heat. :)
And no, I’m not going to tell you how old I am, because I’m old enough to know better!
Happy Birfday to YOU! Fabulous you!
Hi Sarah!
Happy birthday! Sounds like you’re having fun. I was born in October, my birthstone is the Opal, which I think is fabulous, because it is the stone that looks most like the unbelievabley gorgeous Silmaril in “The Silmarillion” by J R R Tolkien [have I mentioned that I’m a Tolkienite? You know now….;-)] Anyway glad you have a b-stone that you like now!
BTW I blog-rolled you! Really enjoy reading this blog!
Many ‘appy returns,
Sarah
Happy Birthday! I didn’t know about the stone – I’ve a December birthday too and also never liked our stone so it’s great news!
Happy birthday Sarah. Hope you had a good one.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you had a great day and enjoy your weekend (I love when my birthday falls on a Friday: it’s somehow sweeter that you have the whole weekend to celebrate!)
Happy birthday! I really like tanzanite. I remember sometime shorty after 9/11 I was going to buy some tanzanite earrings and was told they were selling them at that time because they thought al queida (sp?) was making money off them. But I’m glad to see they are selling tanzanite jewelry everywhere again. Still need to get those earrings.
happy birthday dude!!
