Speaking of Little Ones…

It’s two weeks earlier than I’d planned to blog about this, but I couldn’t resist – after all, this is my journal!

Drum roll, please…

The Reillys are proud to announce the impending release of their latest edition, Reilly 2.0!

Reilly 2.0, due to be released in late October, is a total re-work of the original Denis 1.0 version, with equal contributions from the award-winning Sarah 1.0. The feature list is not yet complete, but is expected to include the Cry, Poop, Eat, and Sleep modes. Future upgrades will include the Crawl, Walk, School, and Car Key modes.

More information on this exciting new release will be available in the coming months.

This just proves that we’re total geeks, doesn’t it? Our poor child is doomed to spend his or her adolescence pretending that we don’t exist.

Anyway, my “official” due date, which really means nothing, is October 30th. I would argue that it’s actually October 29th, because their little wheel-gadget-thingies don’t seem to take into account the fact that it’s a leap year. Either way, I’ll probably end up with a Halloween baby!

I’ll be 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and aside from all-day-long sickness (whoever called it morning sickness couldn’t really have had it) and needing to go to bed by 9:30, I feel pretty good. My new bedtime explains why I haven’t really been blogging or knitting very much, doesn’t it? I’m also stuck on all the projects I had started or planned to start for myself, because I’m certainly not going to be able to wear them anytime soon!

Oh, and pay no attention to the date, really. :)

Bah-hah… that is so funny. Reilly 2.0 will require a car seat docking station and pacifier dongle. Not to mention the hourly spam filter maintenence at the diaper changing station. (Ooooh I’m a geek too)
That baby so has to come home from the hospital in a pumpkin costume!!!!

    Sarah,
I just posted to you on the Sampler Afghan page but I wanted to write more, so here I am! First of all, congratulations on your baby to be! How wonderful for you….is this your first? My daughter just told us that she is due in October also (the 3rd) with our first grandchild, which is such a thrill.
I want to ask you how long you’ve been knitting and how you got so darned good at it? Your projects that I’ve looked at are stunning. I’ve always wanted to try Aran knitting but I’ve been reluctant to do so thinking it’s too complicated for this “visual learner”. I’m not very good with reading charts….I’m that “written word” type knitter, LOL.
The duckie sweater is so cute and the Aran socks made my jaw drop. They look like I’d need a math slide rule to be able to knit. :<)
I recently bought the book From Swatch to Blocking too, but I’ve been hesitant to begin. I don’t understand everything I’ve read in it so far. Have you begun it or do you think you’ll wait till after the baby?
Well, that’s enough questions for the moment and again, congratulations. Feel free to email me, I’d love to hear from you! Cheers, Laura

Congrats Sarah and Denis! I have a dear friend who loves the fact that her birthday is Halloween! So Happy Blessings and I hope the “morning” sickness passes once you hit the second trimester.
