Holy Christmas, Batman!

Is it December already?!? That means in the next 24 days I need to:

  • Find time to remember who on earth I’m supposed to get presents for.
  • Find time to figure out what to get them.
  • Find time to buy gifts – preferably online.
  • Find time to buy a tree.
  • Find time to find a free corner of my house to put up the tree. (The pack & play lives where the tree used to go.)
  • Find time to find the decorations to put on the tree.
  • Find time to decorate the tree.
  • Find time to wrap gifts. (Is it the 24th yet?)

See the trend? It’s all about time, which seems to be in short supply lately. Can I hire someone to do all that? Because really, all I want is a clean, decorated home with all the presents already wrapped and under the tree so I have the time to do what I really want to do: really enjoy Carolyn’s first holidays. I want to take her to see Santa, let her stare at all the pretty decorations, and bake cookies so the house smells like Christmas should. I know she won’t remember it, but I will.
