This afternoon, we found out that we’re going to have a little girl!
The very first dream I had about this baby was right:
When I was a little less than a year old, my mom, my grandmother, my great-grandmother and I all had our picture taken together. It’s one of my most treasured photos, despite the fact that it has turned pink over time. About two or three weeks after I found out I was pregnant, I had a dream that the picture was framed next to a similar one – one of me, my mom, my grandmother…and my daughter. She had a mop of curly auburn hair, and was the same age as I was in the original picture. Now we’ll have to see if she turns out having those auburn curls…
Denis has been predicting that it’s a girl since Valentine’s Day. Note that we didn’t even know I was pregnant until a whole week after that day – so he was right on both counts! (Mark this day on the calendar!)
This puts Anouk on the top of my list of things to knit for the baby. Oh, and what do you think of this little sweater?
Hello from Hong Kong! I’m one of the SALies. First of all congrats! Girls are great, I’ve got two of them, the younger one will be one next month. Plus, there are just so many more patterns to knit for girls.
Hurrah! Now you can knit all sorts of lovely, sweet little things. I’m so happy for you! :-)
Hey congrats on your girl!! Mwah!
I had a feeling! Honest!*:) Whoohoo! But it doesn’t matter because I would have been as equally happy with either secks!
Awww! Congratulations! I love that sweater– I think Blue Blog Alison knit it not that long ago… maybe she has some tips!
Yay! Bring on the cute little pink outfits! Although I still think pumpkin baby needs to come home in orange!
Sarah, what about this sweater?

It is soooo cute!
Congratulations on the little girl! Re. Big Head Bear… Yes, in retrospect, he has some goofy charm. Mostly it was the comparison to the photo in the book that got me: a perfect, precious little stuffed bear. Not!

Thank heavens for little girls! I have always loved the ladybug sweater – but it takes like a jillion colors. I also recommend that you check out the Miss Bea series from Rowan – lots of cute things there.
ohh ohhhh congrats! that is SO awesome.
Congratulations! I still remember how excited I was when the ultrasound technician said “it’s a girl!” (my first thought after hearing was I could finally knit this debbie bliss baby girl sweater!)
:-)
