It’s a lovely cool 60° out there…time to pull out the long-sleeved shirts and light-weight sweaters! And as soon as I’m done with this wedding gift (soon, very soon) I can pull out the heavy-duty knitting! Yay!
I love September. And October, too. Well, Fall in general is great. And Spring. Actually, I really like all of the seasons, and the fact that we have them – I don’t know if I’d enjoy living somewhere where the weather is essentially the same year-round. Although, if you ask me that at the end of February, when it’s been snowing for months, I might tell you differently!
I’m with yuo. Give me 4 seasons and let me enjoy each of them. That way I look forward to Spring to escape snow, Summer to escape the rains, and Fall to escape the heat! Oh yeah, and Winter to get presents at Christmas and birthday!
dude that was so one of the reasons for my move. in new york city proper there are only two seasons, winter and summer. fall? ha! there is one week where it alternates between summer temps one day, winter temps the next, and then smackdown you’re in its version of winter (altho let me tell you, i never considered it “winter” in new york. one snowfall a year? give me a break!! never below zero? whatever!!). so really i guess summer & psuedo fall w/o any of the good things like turning colored leaves (in city proper = one day they’re green and on the trees and next day they’re brown and on the ground. hm, how did that happen? no changing season!) etc. no spring. blah.
i can’t tell you how much i miss the 4 seasons. charlotte, nc has long hot summers, 3 months of ice for winter, and one week each of spring and fall. since i’m from rochester, i’m not dealing well with the heat…i can’t wait to pull out the long sleaves once it cools down.
