Flowers, Anyone?

These are the little sweaters that I’ve been trying to avoid mentioning – they’re not being given to my nieces until next Saturday (a few weeks early for their 2nd birthdays) – but I had to post pictures. I can’t believe I finally finished them! Size 2 needles. Yarn that splits. Seed stitch. No wonder it took me five months to make them. (Of course, I put them down for at least two of those months and did other projects, so those shouldn’t count!)

For all my complaining, I’m very pleased with the way they turned out. There was some debate about the buttons being all different colors or all the same. I think they looked best all different colors, even though they aren’t all quite the same sizes.

There are more pictures in my crafts pages…

Sarah – these are great! Who wouldn’t love sweaters so cheerful? The embroidery is impressive – really adds to the sweater.

they’re beautiful (but you’ve heard me say that before). :) i think the different colored buttons work best, especially since the flowers are different colors — your eye is drawn from the buttons in the middle to the flowers and vice versa. :)

Wow! They are absolutely beautiful. This makes me want to go back to learning to knit. I get started on something and then school and work get in the way. Maybe I can get back to it this summer though. I can’t get over how pretty they are. Excellent job!
