Ack. I got the second part of my quilt-block-of-the-month kit a week early! I’m not done with the first kit yet. I have so much catching up to do… If you need me, I’ll be in my craft room, sewing frantically.
General
To err is human…
OK, I know there are issues with the site, and to be perfectly honest, I haven’t done anything at all with it this week. I did fix the crafts link on the navbar. Oops. And I also updated the list of blogs I read – I’ve added a few to my daily reads since I did the original list. Random Threads is a new one to me, too – I just found her link to me, and she has a great site – especially for knitters.
It’s Friday. :)
Congratulations to Tina for becoming
Congratulations to Tina for becoming an Aunt! It’s a wonderful title to have. (Oh, and congrats to mom & dad, too!) :)
Troubles…
I’m missing my archives, which apparently is causing some grief with Netscape on Windows. I’m taking them down for now. In the meantime, if there’s any other weirdness going on with this site, let me know. It’s my first attempt as CSS and other assorted little html tricks.
Testing
It looks like I made the switch ok. Here I am!
Moving Time…
Looking for me? Check out my new home at Sarah’s Threads.
There’s a Relief!
I took the personality disorder test that Tina took. I scored low on everything. Not that I was paranoid about the results or anything… :)
I also am now the proud owner of my very own domain name and 200 MB of space to make it pretty. Yay!
Coming Soon to a Browser Near You…
I’m working on a total site redesign – including a new url. I have my domain name all picked out, I’m researching hosting services, and I have a design idea in mind – at least, about as much design as a software engineer could come up with. :) It should be ready in a week or so (guess what I’ll be doing over the long weekend?) I’m excited!
Happy Birthday
My blog turned one today! And I’ve actually managed to keep a journal for longer than all my attempts throughout my life all put together. :) There was going to be a design change for today, but instead I spent last night installing my closet organizer. (I did this all by myself, with the exception of the top shelf – Denis had to do that one.) Eventually I’ll get around to taking the St. Patrick’s day theme off. Really. I’m just being indecisive about what to replace it with. :P
Spring…or Summer…Cleaning
Since I was a bit busy this spring, I never got around to spring cleaning – even though I desperately needed and wanted to do it. So, I’ve been randomly hauling out closets when the urge strikes. This week, I’ve been working on the closet in my craft room. What a mess! Well, the whole room is, so it shouldn’t be surprising that opening the closet door is, um, dangerous. :) The problem is, the closet is above the stairs, so the floor is sloped – anything you put on the floor already has a high likelihood of falling out when the door gets opened. Add several layers to the stuff piled on the floor, and, well, you get the picture. I need to find a good storage solution for a closet with a sloped floor. I can add shelves and all, but I don’t just want to abandon the 6 cubic feet that would be below the bottom shelf. That might hold lots of yarn if I could just find baskets the right shape… Any ideas out there?
